Sometimes college doesn't pan out the way you think, but that's okay! Liz Nichols took the traditional path and got her degree, but struggled to make a living wage. After going through Oregon Tradeswomen's pre-apprenticeship program, Liz is now a Cement Mason with Cement Masons Local #555 and was able to buy a house and start her family!

The focus of this week is to highlight women as a viable component of the industry. This year’s theme, “Envision Equity”, seeks to raise awareness of a wide range of roles in the construction industry that women enjoy.
From 3/6-12 ANEW and have teamed up to bring you content showcasing success stories from women in the trades as well as some resources from our RISE Up program fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in this industry.
