Too long a reel. Too tired to edit. 🫶🏼 We installed this engagement party hanging floral to close out our Valentine’s Day. A pleasure to decorate for a wonderful couple - wouldn’t have it any other way; even after multiple 16 hour days. These flowers were out of water hung upside down for over 6 hours in a very warm room. Should’ve been wilted by the end of the evening, but they were still lovely; credit to the positive vibe in the room and a wonderful couple sharing their love. (it also doesn’t hurt that we process and care for our flowers really well 😉 )

I want to share something honestly that doesn’t fit perfectly into words.
I care deeply about what’s happening in this country, and I can’t separate that from how I run my business or how I move through the world. Paying attention changes you. Staying informed changes you. And choosing not to look away comes with weight.
The values behind my work: integrity, inclusiveness, generosity, care, and community aren’t branding choices to me. They’re foundational and how I try to move through the world on a daily basis.
As a white woman, I know I benefit from privilege, and I believe that means I have a responsibility to acknowledge uncomfortable truths about stolen land, systems of harm, and the real people being affected by fear and force right now. To say it feels conflicting to try to sell flowers while people are being killed in the street is an understatement.
I’m heartbroken by the loss of life and by how normalized cruelty has become. I know I’m not alone in this thinking but staying silent would feel like a betrayal of the values I claim to hold.
I’m still here, still creating, and still committed to caring for my community, my customers, and the people impacted most by what’s happening. I want you to know that we are a safe shop where everyone is welcome.
I BELIEVE IN CARE OVER CRUELTY, BELONGING OVER FEAR, AND HUMANITY OVER POWER.
We will be closed Friday 1/30 along with others across the nation to stand in solidarity with businesses in Minnesota.
XOXO JL
