Progress is not about giant leaps. It’s about consistent steps. Every small decision to show up and choose yourself IS the work. 🙌🏾

We spend so much energy focused on who isn’t clapping for us. Who didn’t check in. Who went quiet. 🤫

And while we are counting those absences, we are missing the people who are RIGHT THERE. 🙌🏾

The ones who share your posts, show up to your events, and cheer you on even when you can’t cheer for yourself. 👏🏽

Appreciation is a magnet. When you pour into the people already in your corner, you attract more of them. Stay fixated on who left, and you stay stuck in lack.

Your supporters are a gift. Treat them like one.

Today’s challenge: reach out to someone who has shown up for you. A real, intentional thank you. Not a like. Not a comment. A real one.

Watch what that does for your spirit. 🙏🏾

Monday reminded me why I believe community is important.

I had the honor of attending another one or the African American Leaders and Professionals Network (AALPN) 17th gathering, right here in Lynnwood in Snohomish County. There were over 50 Black leaders and professionals in one room, from Seattle, Redmond, and as far as Federal Way.

The energy was amazing. Some new faces and connections and some familiar members, of course, from previous events.

Huge gratitude to Olympia Edwards and the Project Girl Mentoring Program team for hosting and sponsoring such a powerful evening.

The space she has created for young Brown girls is nothing short of incredible.

I usually get a little anxious about most events but going to this one excites me. When we see each other, support each other, and show up for each other, something powerful happens.

You don’t have to do everything alone🙌🏾

Find your community.
It will change everything.

I want to thank for introducing me to the group last year.

A lot of people ask me what is the difference between life coaching and therapy. Great question!

Here is the simplest way to think about it:
Therapy looks backward. It helps you heal from past wounds, process trauma, and work through mental health challenges with a licensed professional.

Coaching looks forward. It helps you get clear on where you want to go, break through what is holding you back, and take intentional action toward the life you want.

Both are completely confidential.

Both create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can show up fully as yourself.

The difference is simple. If you are healing, therapy may be the right fit. If you are growing, coaching may be exactly what you need. 🙌🏾

Sometimes you need both at different seasons of your life or you use both as a way to prioritize you! 🙏🏽

As an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), my role is to walk beside you as you move forward and help you take action on what you already know.

IT IS OFFICIAL. I am now an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC)! 🎉🙌🏾🫶🏽

You might be wondering what ICF means. The International Coaching Federation is the gold standard of the coaching profession worldwide. Less than 4% of coaches globally hold a PCC credential. It requires 500+ hours (I have over 600 hours) of real coaching experience, rigorous training, and passing a comprehensive exam.
In other words, it is not easy to get. And I got it.

Natural ways to regulate your nervous system ⭐️

Anxiety lives in the body, not just your thoughts.

Try: Clean up stimulants

A lot of people overlook this.
• Caffeine can increase anxiety symptoms
• Sugar spikes can make mood swings worse
• Alcohol can temporarily relax you but increase anxiety later

You don’t have to eliminate everything, but pay attention to what your body does after.

Try: Moving your body regularly

Exercise is one of the most proven natural anxiety reducers.
• Walking 20–30 minutes daily is enough to make a difference
• Strength training or yoga helps release stored tension
• Even light movement is better than none

Think of movement as emotional release, not just fitness. 🧘🏾‍♀️
