How We Go On
A peer support group for parents grieving a child who has died from drugs
In addition to the tragedy of losing a child, parents who have lost a child to the disease of addiction or drug experimentation face some unique issues. These may include the separation that addiction creates prior to the death, guilt for not being able to protect their child, the judgement of others who may blame the parent or the child or both for moral failure.
This secular peer-to-peer group provides a safe, non-judgmental place for grieving parents to share their experience and feelings with others who have suffered the same loss and to find support and understanding.
Meetings are held 1st and 3rd Thursdays at 7:00 pm
St Paul’s United Church of Christ
