The Golden Hours Project

The Golden Hours Project was so beautiful in the snow.

As we entered winter, The Golden Hours Project built a nest of the leaves created by our fellow man during the past year. These leaves represent loss, about any thing, experience or name, chosen by the person writing. The repeated handwriting you see is by me, as people sent requests to add their own thoughts and feelings from a distance.

This project has been made by everyone who added their words & their heart. Leaves, flowers, lanterns - grateful for them all. Contact us if you have a leaf to be scribed. Please feel welcome to come visit us before the end of the year.

As the weather has become such a force, I felt a sense of protection for all of our leaves. At the same time, I believe we all deserve to take comfort where we can, I went with the desire to nest. Please feel welcome to visit in person. These are the cherished names and feelings of so many people. The writing station is still in place.

The Golden Hours Project is giving away free Plant Starts today; many gifted from our neighborhood Buy Nothing Group, and other communities. It's a part of our local burning man event with Art all through the city. Located in the Central District on 20th Ave at Union. If you are interested, please stop by and pick one of these new leaves growing amongst our shared community project about grief and loss. Take a little new hopeful life home with you! ❤️

The Golden Hours Project is starting to change. It's been meaningful to have so many share their losses from the Pandemic. People, Things, Experiences and more. If you want to experience the project in person, we welcome you to do that soon. We will continue to hang leaves into the near future, and as this change happens over time. Please feel free continue to request names be scribed and hung on your behalf. If you request photos of the scribed leaves, we will try to release them in a group post, with other names.

The Golden Hours Project was created - in part - by the desire to name, recognize and see the unseen from the Pandemic. Grief. It is nice find others creating tools for the same reason.
