I know Seattle cares about s*x workers. I know Seattle cares about trafficking survivors. But serial killer Gary Ridgway AKA the Green River Killer is on record as saying he targeted “prostitutes” because he “knew nobody would care.” I’m holding a show of my four-time international award-winning photo series of portraits in negative space of the Green River killer victims; the majority of whom were underage s*x trafficking victims or adult s*x workers on Pacific Highway and Aurora tracks. The fabulous Columbia City Lottie’s Lounge is generously hosting this art show opening reception on March 3rd (International S*x Worker’s Rights Day) from 7-10pm. Entry is free. Please come and bear witness, take part in community dialogue, and uplift the lives and memory of girls and women of Seattle’s outdoor tracks who deserved so much better. Seattle DOES care about s*x workers and survivors.
My photography series on violence against people in the s*x trade will be shown in Mexico City in May 2026!

An investigative report I consulted on (but written by the amazing journalist Noy Thrupkaew). The DOJ is directing the bulk of its man-power and dollars to ICE crimes, at the peril of trafficking survivors. You can’t talk out of both sides of your mouth, America. You can’t clutch your pearls at the evils of the s*x industry, then turn around and refuse us trafficking victims the help we need to avoid being exploited again. White supremacy and racial hatred is being prioritized over everything else and it’s bu****it. At the White House last year when I spoke to Biden’s cabinet, the chief of the DOJ walked out in the middle of my testimony as a trafficking survivor and SW. And that was in Biden’s administration! The DOJ doesn’t care about trafficking survivors. Meanwhile, we die. We are re-exploited. We are r***d. We are stuck in the cycle of poverty. We are hungry. We are waiting all day at DSHS for $197 to last one month. We are pummeled by racism, s*xism, transphobia, capitalism. We are murdered. And more and more, it feels like no one cares.
US justice department halts funding for human-trafficking survivors DoJ has nearly $90m appropriated by Congress to support victims, but organizations say funding has been cut
