Crumpets! I had fun experimenting with my new batter dispensing gadget - consistent sizing was a lot easier to achieve. Looking forward to using it on Saturday for baking day! Orders open until 8pm tomorrow.

Orders are open for pick up on Saturday, 2-5pm!
On the menu this week are Cheese & Pickle Scones, with a bit of a twist: the flour will be a mix of white and wholewheat. I’ll also be trying out Crumpets again! I’ve been happy with my recipe, just annoyed with the variation in sizes I’ve been getting. This time I have a new dispensing gadget to experiment with. English Muffins and Seeded Rolls are also available.

Superbowl Saturday orders are open!
Given the Seahawks' amazing run this season, there’s going to be a few Superbowl parties going on next weekend. You might need some delicious bread, right?!
I’ll be baking next weekend, for pick-up on Saturday 2/7, 2-5pm from my home in Magnolia. Pre-orders can be placed through duncansbread.com (link in bio) up until Friday evening.

Fruit loaf experiment no. 7 or 8…? I decided to hand-shape it this time, and it turned out much better. Almost ready for adding to the menu for my next sale!

Some morning baking! A couple of customer orders, and a fruit loaf experiment. I’ve been wanting to try out a fruit loaf for a while, and this one seems to be getting close to what I’m envisaging. I’ll be taste testing later!

Something is bubbling…
It’s been a while! My new (paying) job has been taking all of my attention, but I’m finally finding time to dive back into baking. This weekend is all about prep - revisiting some favourite recipes, trying out some new ones, and making sure that my ingredient stock levels are good.
