Funny that Facebook asks "What's on your mind?" – and my answer in this case is Young-Onset Parkinson's Disease, or YOPD. We are new to Facebook. Never had an account before this. But we want to reach as many people as we can who might be interesting in learning more about our 30+ years living with Parkinson's.

John showed signs in his late 20s and was diagnosed at age 33. Oddly enough, his mom was diagnosed AFTER him - when she was in her early 70s.

So we can speak to young-onset, and the more common form affecting seniors.

Hi. We are Suzie & John Schofield and we started a little podcast for all the peeps facing Parkinson's Disease. John has been living with YOPD (young onset) for 30+ years! At the time of his diagnosis, we had just started dating. And we've been together ever since! We just celebrated our 20-year wedding anniversary and are still laughing, dog-walking, traveling, movie-going, parenting, and all the things.
