About the Lecture - There has been a dramatic rise in high-end coffee consumption in the U.S. These "Third Wave" coffees are described using the language of wine and sell for $25 per pound and up. In this talk, Dr. Fischer looks at this new coffee consumption market and then to Maya farmers in Guatemala who produce a growing share of these high-altitude beans.
