Which would you rather have if someone gave you the money to buy this or a comparable new camera, and you HAD to spend it on photographry gear?

A) A new camera.
B) Better lenses.
C) A gently used camera that's a significant upgrade to your current camera plus a used lens (or two) or accessories.
D) Something else.

Personally, I'd probably choose "C" ... 3-4 year old gear is STILL great, and usually only costs 1/3 - 1/2 the price of the "next generation" gear.
