This year seems to be the year of undoing/fixing things that I did a while ago and wished I’d done differently (hello pea gravel, never again).
Irrigation is one of those things that seems one and done but stuff leaks or you need to change a layout or well, it’s always something…
I really was going to plant them somewhere last fall I swear!
This one is for some dear friends who just had a baby. And those little multi-stemmed daffs smell divine!!!!
Who else is like this?
If you want to plant a bunch of perennials and don’t want to break the bank, starting them from seed is your biggest bang for (a lot less) buck. Have questions? Hit me up in the comments.
You don’t have to start your own seeds to have a gorgeous thriving garden! But there are a few reasons why you might want to consider it. Ultimately it’s YOUR garden and you get to decide how you approach it.
Not all flowers benefit from pinching, but here’s a short list of some popular ones that I do my best to pinch. Note that pinching them does delay the development of flowers by a little bit, but I find this pays off later in having so many more to pick once they get going!
Sweet peas
Dahlias
Snapdragons
Cosmos
Zinnias
Marigolds
Strawflowers
Celosia (plume varieties but not crested)
Basil (not technically a flower but it does flower and also this just means you get more basil leaves too!)
Please do not listen to the people who tell you to worry and hurry (and then sell you things) for something that should be calming your nervous system. Mkay? 🤝
I hope you enjoyed the sun with someone else today. ❤️
