Hello Everyone,
Join us this Wednesday, Jan 19th at 1:30 on Zoom for the Flathead Valley Parkinson's Support Group Meeting. I'm looking forward to seeing many of you as we come together to share information, tips, and meet new members. This meeting will consist of participants breaking into small groups to discuss a variety of topics related to PD. We have such a wealth of information and experience in our group that it would be nice for new members to take advantage of that knowledge. Bring your questions and your tips for this informational session.
If you have never been to one of our Zoom meetings but would like to attend this one, be sure and let me know and I will add you to the Zoom invite email list. Everyone will receive the Zoom invite with the link to sign on at 1:00pm (30 minutes before the start of the meeting to give everyone time to join).
I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Hello Everyone,
We have a very exciting support group meeting coming up this Wednesday, the 18th at 1:30pm on Zoom. Our guest speaker is Paul Coats, Family Nurse Practioner from the Kalispell Neurology group. Paul will give a very short presentation and the rest of his time will be spent answering your questions regarding anything Parkinson's related. Paul is very knowledgable about Parkinson's and comes with some excellent references. He is eager to meet our group and hopes to help improve our lives with Parkinson's by sharing his knowledge and expertise.
Unfortunately, we are back to meeting on Zoom due to the high number of Covid cases in the valley. If you have not attended a Zoom meeting and would like to receive the link, let me know and I will put you on the email invite list. You will receive the link at approximately 1:00pm on Wednesday so you will have plenty of time to log on. If you need help with Zoom, please let me know.
You can also access the Zoom link by going to our website calendar and clicking on August 18th and then clicking on the Zoom link in the description:

Flathead Valley Parkinson's Support Group
Hello All -
Just a reminder, if you haven't already, please let me know if you wish to be included in the virtual support group meeting this Wednesday the 22nd at 1:00pm. We have several items on the agenda including a guest speaker, Jordan Whitley from Northwest Parkinson's Foundation, to discuss all of the programs they have to offer as well as input from our group as to what we would like to see from them.
The second part of the meeting will be a short (5 minute) video followed by discussion on "Pain and Parkinson's".
The last part of the meeting will be sharing of our "assignment" from our last meeting in finding delight in every day. Vicki is working on sharing another positive living tip with us.
I also want to talk about an exercise challenge suggested by one of our members that we can work on between now and our next meeting.
There you have it. Let me know if you would like to attend. I will open the meeting at 12:30 to give everyone a chance to sign on but the meeting doesn't officially begin until 1:00pm. It's fun to see everyone's smiling faces on the screen. Although it is not the perfect way to connect with others, it serves the purpose during this time when we need to be vigilant and stay safe. Please consider joining this meeting. If you're concerned about how it works, don't hesitate to contact me and I'll walk you through. It's pretty simple, especially after you've done it a time or two.
Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday.
Enjoy this almost spring like weather.
