Leaving framing members exposed creates fun opportunies for custom design solutions. The void between this wall and rafters, for example, conceal the fixtures that create the ambient light.

We usually don’t think of roofs being made out of wood, but here’s one (of many) in one of the harshest environments in the world. It is simply overlapping wood planks with a coat of paint.

Greenlake Kitchen // These structural columns (beautiful in their own right) replaced a handful of walls, opening the dining room up to the kitchen and living room.
