This song by Labi Siffre is a special one for us as we like to sing it in a high-pitched, nasaly voice for laughs 😆, but also, it's a beautiful song that we love to play seriously together ❤️

I guess that's what celebrating V-Day is all about-the giggles + the seriously lovey dovey moments together 💕

La última entrega de mi 💖 V-Day Love Song Cover Series 💖, ha llegado un poco tarde y es perfectamente imperfecta, con mi maravilloso novio en la guitarra (podéis verme sonriéndole en la foto de portada… es un "shy boy" ❤️).

Esta canción de Labi Siffre es muy especial para nosotros, porque nos encanta cantarla con una voz aguda y nasal para echarnos unas risas 😆, pero también es una canción preciosa que nos gusta tocar juntos en serio, de corazón ❤️.

🤧 I've been recovering from a mild but annoying cold the past couple of days (consuming lots of tumeric, honey, ginger 🫚 dont you worry 😌), and as a result, have been unable to record my next V-Day Love Song Cover Series video. 💔

Luckily, I'm a romantic at heart and of course have archived videos of me singing melodramatic covers, oozing with romance and a yearning for love!

So here is a romantic snippet of my 2016 cover of 's "Baby Blue", featuring slightly-sick-from-last-week me adding some soft harmonies over the original audio🫶🏼✨️

I love how The Gorillaz are so good at creating weirdly wonderful chord progressions that lead to unconventional sounds-I hate conventionality in all its forms and want to champion weirdness and wonder in my own music as well 🎶

It may seem like a silly announcement, but there is a sentimental backstory that involves my journey walking the Camino de Santiago by myself a couple years back 💖

Not only that-but I feel like I finally have an easy instrument to play that will motivate me to perform more in parks, plazas, and to simply get back to singing and playing guitar for you all 🥰

Happy hump day, ya'll 🌸 I hope your Wednesday has been treating you well.

Lately I have been reflecting on what it means to be an extremely ambitious, "productive" creative trying to survive AND thrive. Raise your hand 🤚if you relate.

When I think of this, it takes the visual form of a repeated, black and white image where my hair is constantly moving back and forth, and it helps me come to terms with the idea that being a creative is: a work in progress, sometimes feeling black and white, all on repeat.

Lately I have been in this visual form, in "full throttle" mode, trying to launch into the stars and achieve all the things I want in this life. Though you'd think going into space is an amazing experience, the wanting and the excitement of getting there can feel like a lot.

The cheerful and colorful version of myself does exist, but it's also important to share that the colors can fade and leave me in a weird intergalactic slump!🌃

That being said, though I am still trying to figure out who the authentic me is as a musician, creative and a professional in this universe, while trying to survive it all, I'm happy to have you all joining me on this journey to the moon 💜

How you should spend your weekend: dancin' and twirlin' to your own beat-boxing, lyricless version of Royals by Lorde !💃

This audio was taken during lockdown in 2020. Stuck at home and trying out my new Roland Street Cube was definitely a fun way of entertaining myself while having to be confined for 3 months!

The dancing and twirling is from pre-covid bliss in Barcelona circa 2018 😍(will never forget that experience, thank you Voodoo Dance Club!)
