Dear Friends,
This isn’t easy to say, but I’ve made the decision to close this Facebook Group in mid-September. Over time, I’ve realized that Facebook no longer aligns with my values or the kind of supportive, uplifting community I want for us.
But here’s the good news: our community isn’t ending, it’s moving! 🎉 We’re shifting to a beautiful new home on a platform called Skool, where we’ll have the freedom, fun, and features to really thrive together.
Here are the Top 6 Reasons Skool is Better (and More Fun!) than Facebook Groups:
No Ads, No Distractions. Instead of fighting through Facebook’s noise, you’ll enjoy a clean, focused space designed just for us.
Easy to Find What You Need. Skool organizes everything neatly. No more endless scrolling to find posts you remember seeing “somewhere.”
Community + Resources in One Place. I can share resources, trainings, and helpful guides right inside our group, no need for messy links or outside tools.
Fun Points & Levels. Skool has built-in gamification! You’ll earn points for participating, helping others, and sharing your wisdom. (It makes contributing fun!)
Better Conversations. Posts and replies are threaded, easy to follow, and stay visible so your voice won’t get buried like it does on Facebook.
Built for Connection, Not Controversy. Skool is a private, safe, and positive environment. It’s designed for real communities, not algorithms, politics, or drama.
And here’s a little extra fun: You'll get a cat who likes music!
If you’ve seen Skool’s cat mascot, you know it’s not just about tech, it’s about personality. The team behind Skool wanted the platform to feel friendly, warm, and human (instead of cold and corporate). The cat is a reminder that learning and connecting here should feel lighthearted and fun, just like being part of a community should.
And here’s what makes me even more confident: Skool was created by a team of community builders who believe learning, growth, and connection should be fun and accessible. Their vision is simple but powerful: to bring people together around shared interests in a space that encourages collaboration, not competition. They designed Skool to be the kind of place they wanted for themselves, where communities can flourish without the distractions, negativity, or control of big tech.
Most importantly: I value YOU. This group has meant so much to me, and I truly hope you’ll come with me to our new Skool community so we can keep growing, laughing, and supporting one another.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Mid-September will mark the close of this chapter here on Facebook, but I’m so excited for the fresh start we’ll have together on Skool. 💕
With gratitude and excitement!
P.S. I've created a new logo for the new community. How do you like it? I wanted it to reflect the transformation possible within us when we have a support system and a warm, welcoming community.
Your Best Reflection This community is dedicated to women age 50+ who are ready to embrace and step boldly into the next, best season of their lives.

Coming to terms with my turkey neck?
I love the part about looking at the photos. I can so relate to seeing the beauty in those faces and their necks, meaning noting. Please, God, let people see me in that light also!

I'm a positive person, more at this point in my life than ever before - but I admit that I have my darker moments.
Things that happen sometimes, things that I can't do anything about can make me angry or take me so deep into frustration that I sometimes find myself thinking something so awful about another person - and then I'm immediately filled with shame.
My thoughts start to shower down on me and then I beat myself up for thinking them.
"What kind of person thinks something like that?"
"You're supposed to be a loving person, that's anything but loving."
"What a poser you are, if people only knew what happens in your head."
Listen... nobody can give me a better beat down than I can.
Sometimes it feels like the best choice for those moments is to take a nap - and I do!
If I wake up and the frustration is still here, I try to steer my thoughts away from what I can't control and try to refocus on what I can.
More importantly, I'm giving myself some compassion for how dark my attitude was earlier.
I can't control everything. In the grand scheme of things, I can't control much at all except for myself and my actions and reactions.
The truth is, this life can be messy and I am never going to get it as right as I want to.
So I love myself anyway and you are self-loveable too. Don't forget that.
How do you handle those times when your mind isn't moving in a positive direction ?
