Here we go, friends! It's your LAST CHANCE to purchase Kaminsky Crafts products for the foreseeable future! I'm at Billings Middle School (12351 8th Ave NE) TODAY from noon to 3:30. After that, my shop will be on a break.

The event will be held outside, rain or shine. After this event, I'm putting Kaminsky Crafts on hiatus - I'm not sure for how long. So this will be the last chance to visit me! My favorite part of donating to Page Ahead, besides supporting their mission, of course, is receiving a handmade card from one of the kids who got a book. So awesome! This year's is from Eden and is amazing!

I've been entirely too busy over the past couple of days to update here. Halloween was a success! Though we really would appreciate not having heavy rain on Halloween next year... Even with the weather, we had a VERY steady and heavy stream of visitors on Halloween itself. We reopened last night and had a bunch of people stop by, though many fewer than on Halloween itself. Things went pretty smoothly overall. And we SHATTERED last year's book giving record (202) by gifting 379 (!!) books to eager neighborhood readers. We're also VERY close to reaching our fundraising goal for Page Ahead, an awesome, well-established, and highly-rated charity that works to get books to kids who need them most. There are 1,304 books ready to go out to the book tent on Friday! Sadly, the forecast is now for heavy rain on Halloween. I may need to make a sacrifice to the rain gods.

We rarely set aside a decent amount of time to carve pumpkins. So we're always rushed. This year, we decided to carve pumpkins properly in the company of some friends. We had a lovely and relaxed time and I love how they turned out! 5 days to go! 😬
