I got the nicest email from a client. Made my day.

"Hi Jackie, you get at least partial credit for this year's harvest from the fig tree that you so lovingly pruned for us this spring."

I asked how they tasted, and he said very sweet. I am not sure which variety it is - maybe Gold Fig or Italian Honey Fig - but it ripens much earlier than the fig I have at home and doesn't turn brown.

It’s good for the soul to do a morning wander in the garden -

Do I have to say this? I guess according to the Supreme Court I do. Bring Nature In welcomes all clients regardless of who you love, where you are from and the color of your skin.

One of the joys of travel is stumbling onto a beautiful spot unplanned. Our morning walk along the river took us to Saughton Park Walled Garden.

Wish I had my gloves and hori-hori! Next trip. I am wondering what is happening in the gardens at home. Weather here in Bristol is cool and mild.

Not surprised the Phormium didn’t make it, but wondering what else didn’t make it through the ice storm. At some point I will need to throw on a raincoat and inspect the situation.

A little bit of color is especially nice going into winter. Pansies are tough - keep that in mind if someone tries the pansy insult on you.
