I got the nicest email from a client. Made my day.
"Hi Jackie, you get at least partial credit for this year's harvest from the fig tree that you so lovingly pruned for us this spring."
I asked how they tasted, and he said very sweet. I am not sure which variety it is - maybe Gold Fig or Italian Honey Fig - but it ripens much earlier than the fig I have at home and doesn't turn brown.

Not surprised the Phormium didn’t make it, but wondering what else didn’t make it through the ice storm. At some point I will need to throw on a raincoat and inspect the situation.

A little bit of color is especially nice going into winter. Pansies are tough - keep that in mind if someone tries the pansy insult on you.
