The very last warp is off the Glimakra! It feels weird to be getting ready to say goodbye to this workhorse that has been with me for the last 12 or so years, but there’s a new loom in the studio that needs that space!
If you’re in the Seattle area and are looking for a really big 8-shaft counter-balance loom, I’m going to be selling this one.

Three* goooooold rings! Also some colly birds**, French hens, turtle doves, partridges, and pears.
It’s not all weaving all the time round these parts!

*I literally cannot look at these without hearing Eddie Izzard belting out the five gooooold rings. Google it. It’s a good seasonally appropriate giggle.

**yes, colly birds. Go read the post on the mmmcrafts blog about it, or any number of other things about the history of that. It’s fun word-nerd goodness.

Churning through the last two towels on this warp today. It’s been fun, but I’m really looking forward to more twills!

What should go on this loom next?

Favorite towel, fresh out of the wash. This one has been in constant use for almost a year at this point, and I’m always surprised that it just keeps getting softer and squooshier with every wash. I need to make more of these!

I love it when the students bring props to take pictures of their class creations, especially when one of those props is one of my towels!

Taking some time to do a little bit of mid-warp color testing. Not sure I’m really feeling either the white or the black against the brightly colored warp, so back to bright happy color!
