In 2024, I began collaborating with the Seattle Rideshare Drivers Association to lobby state legislators for safety reforms they were seeking after the killings of rideshare driver Abdikadir Gedi Shariif, taxi driver Nicolas Hokema, and Amazon delivery driver Sergay Kubay.

The safety of workers in our community is a topic that is very close to my heart, and taxi, rideshare, and delivery drivers perform one of the top 10 most dangerous jobs in America. I am so proud to have earned the sole endorsement of The Seattle Rideshare Drivers Association in my race and will stop at nothing to ensure the safety and dignity of rideshare, taxi, and delivery drivers in our state. Everyone deserves to make it home alive after a hard day’s work.
