What a great day for an adoption event! Everyone had a good time and all our doggies got to spend social time!
Thanks as always, always to Dog Yard Bar for hosting Saving Great Animals. An incredible spot that we highly recommend for you and your pups to hang.
Keep sharing all these babies so homes find them!

Spread the word for Josie Girl. She’s been patiently waiting for the right family for find her! We need your help to share her around as she is FULL OF LOVE.
Gorgeous Josie is still waiting to be adopted and we’d love to find her forever home. We know you’re out there!
Josie loves to cuddle and will make a great couch buddy, and she loves to be connected to her person. She also is a go get it gal and is quite the adventure buddy! She loves walks, hikes, running, swimming - all of it. She can be a silly goof, too.
From her amazing foster mama Maureen: “Josie is the sweetest, wiggliest girl I ever met. She is learning to trust people more quickly. Josie loves to play with her big foster brother Samson and has stolen his jolly ball for her own.” 💕
For more info about our girl please check out her profile under Available Dogs on our website savinggreatanimals.org.
Josie is 2.5 yrs old. We are looking for a female human only home ideally. No kids, no cats, no small dogs (she does well with dogs her size or larger!). She is vaccinated, chipped and spayed and ready to live her life with you!

Dogs need humans and we surely need you! The more help, the more lives we can save. It is math 💕 please share.
In May we rescued 19 dogs, completed 28 adoptions, and ended the month with 72 dogs in our care waiting for families.
The warm months have brought a decline in adoptions, and a lack of available fosters. Low adoption rates are tying up the available foster homes, and we desperately need to make space. Please help if you can!
There are countless dogs waiting for a second chance that we can't rescue at all without a place for them to land.
If you have space in your heart, and home, this is a wonderful time to adopt or foster!

Puget Sound area - please share pups in need! If we can find fosters these sweeties can arrive here to safety Tuesday.
Ready to experience the joy of fostering a dog in need? Please meet both Mac and Cheese (female), who can go to separate homes.
They’re 7 months old, about 25 lbs and are fun low riders! Mac is all cream colored and Cheese is tan and white. Sooo cute!
If you can foster either please email

The last of Ellie’s five puppies will start her trial adoption tomorrow morning!
Adorableeeeeee McKenna will be off on her new adventure. Foster Adrienne (also Saving Great Animals team member!) will get a great night of sleep. She took care of all five! That said, she will miss her last little nugget!
Cross paws for this puppy that doesn’t even look real. 💕

Update! We have a foster and so thankful for those who raised their paws!
Foster needed asap! Meet the amazing Millie Moon! She comes to us from an owner who could no longer care for her. She arrived tonite and needs a foster right away.
She is likely around 2-3 and a darling and smart girl with a slightly long build. She seems fine with other dogs and will bond quickly with you.
Please email [email protected] if you can help!
She will be very easy to fall in love with. Please help if you can!

Sweet old Charlie, what a loved and long life you got. We shall see you in the stars ⭐️, precious boy.
Born 2010 estimated, adopted 2011. That’s 16 years. A great run and yes, a hole in our hearts is left that now is filled with gratitude.
He was adopted by amazing Ria Henshilwood and family and shed his love on their kids and a grandchild, too. He was a pal to their pittie, Bubbles.
Loss is hard, yet this length of life for a dog to get so much love is a dream for those of us who rescue (and those who adopt).
Thank you for being the most amazing family he could’ve ever found!
