What to do for Waterlogged or Flooded Gardens Dealing with drought in the garden is hard enough, but dealing with floods and waterlogged soil is a real challenge. We can't prevent the damage, but here are some ways of dealing with it.

City of Santa Cruz : Irrigation Drought Requirements 09/01/2015

With the drought still in full effect, we encourage you to be as conscious as possible about the guidelines and requirements set up by the City of Santa Cruz.

City of Santa Cruz : Irrigation Drought Requirements Customers receiving Landscape Water Use Reports will be assigned an irrigation allotment equal to one-third of their normal monthly budget. The normal monthly monthly budget is calculated using site-specific information and real-time daily weather data.

2014 Water Cutbacks and Water Supply Outlook | Soquel Creek Water District On April 1, 2014, the Soquel Creek Water District's Board of Directors approved a long-term, year-round Water Use Reduction Program to that will take effect this Fall and remain in place even after the drought ends.
