2026 PWMC Harvest Moon CelebrationβThank you to our dinner host, Bud & Alley's Restaurant
Ten years. Same beloved spot on the Gulf. π
This September marks our 10th Annual Harvest Moon Dinnerβand we can't say thank you enough to Dave & Carol Rauschkolb and the entire Bud & Alley's team for opening their doors to us year after year.
Since 1986, Bud & Alley's has been the heart of Seasideβthe first restaurant to open in town and still the place where this community gathers. That same generous spirit is why our neighbors have no-fee-for-service, high-quality healthcare within reach. Hosting our Harvest Moon Dinners is no small gift, and it has helped make possible the care PWMC provides every single day.

WELLNESS WEDNESDAY: The 15 minutes that can save three lives
Every Wednesday we share one thing worth knowing about your health. This week's is simple: give blood.
Nearly 40% of the population is eligible to donate. Only about 3% actually do. That gap is why the blood supply runs short β not because people say no, but because most of us never quite get around to saying yes.
So here's an easy yes. The Big Red Bus will be at Point Washington United Methodist Church this Sunday, August 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., parked in the FLC lot. One donation can help save up to three lives, and it stays right here β helping our neighbors in our own community.
No appointment necessary. Walk-ins are welcome all day. If you'd rather lock in a time, schedule here: https://www.oneblood.org/donate-now/scheduler.html?locationId=1809311
Point Washington Medical Clinic sees patients Monday through Thursday, and our care is always free.

Good medicine starts with good peopleβand our table was full of them. π©Ί
PWMC recently hosted a Provider Dinner, bringing together our volunteer physicians and participants from the FSU Family Medicine Residency Program for a night of education and fellowshipβseasoned providers who have cared for our neighbors for decades, sitting alongside residents just beginning their careers in family medicine.
Every patient we see is served at no cost, and that's only possible because providers like these say yes. Nights like this are an investment in the next generation of physicians who will care for the Panhandle for years to come.
To our volunteer providers and our friends at FSU Family Medicine β thank you.
Healthcare shouldn't feel impossible. Together, we're making sure it isn't. π

βοΈ Back to School, Healthy & Ready
As backpacks come out and the school year begins, we're reminded of one of the deepest reasons Point Washington Medical Clinic exists: keeping kids healthy, in the classroom, and ready to learn. ππ
Every child deserves to start the school year feeling their best β and no family should ever have to choose between their child's health and making ends meet. That's why we provide free, high-quality care to our uninsured and underinsured neighbors, regardless of their ability to pay. From our dedicated pediatric exam room to dentistry, physical therapy, and mental health services, we're here for the whole family.
When a child gets the care they need, they stay in school. Parents stay at work. And our whole community grows stronger and healthier β together. π
Here's to a happy, healthy school year for every student in our community! πβοΈ

π Board Member Spotlight: Jessie Timmons
We're so grateful for the people who help guide our mission β and today we're thrilled to introduce board member Jessie Timmons! π
Born and raised in Alabama, Jessie earned her CPA license and spent several years with PWC before making her way to our area. For the past 15 years, she's been with Sandestin Investments, where she now serves as Director of Finance. At home, she and her husband keep busy with their son, along with their dog, Goose, and cat, Cricket. πΎ
Jessie's path to our board started close to home: "I have been a member of the church for years and knew all about the donation of the land to the Clinic, but otherwise didn't know much about it. I wanted to get more involved to see what it was all about. And man, how much I have learned! It has been a very eye-opening experience to see how many ways the Clinic impacts our community and how many people are in need of our services β right here in our very own community. It has been a very humbling and rewarding experience thus far."
And when asked to describe the Clinic's personality? "I would call it open, accepting, and loving. To everyone. No matter what. I love the sweatshirt that I have that says Radically Inclusive. So true, and such a lovely message." π
Thank you, Jessie, for sharing your talents, your heart, and your time with Point Washington Medical Clinic. We're so lucky to have you! π

π A Heartfelt Thank You
Our hearts are full. π Thank you to Christ the King Episcopal Church and everyone who welcomed PWMC in to share about the work we do and the neighbors we serve.
We were especially moved by the children, who hosted a stuffed animal drive β each of them giving from their very own toy chests to create care bags for our pediatric patients. π§Έ These little bundles of comfort will greet our youngest patients when they come to the doctor, turning a nervous moment into one of warmth and reassurance.
There's something truly special about children caring for other children. These young hearts reminded us exactly what community looks like: showing up for one another and giving from a place of love. π
To the Christ the King family β thank you for your generosity, your hospitality, and for helping us bring a little extra comfort to the children in our care. You've made a difference that our young patients will feel for a long time to come. π
