This adorable Frenchie is showing off a Send Away Place, and he absolutely CRUSHES it! 👏💪
For those who may not know, a Send Away Place is an advanced command where your dog is sent to a designated spot from a distance and remains there until released. It requires focus, understanding, confidence, and a whole lot of practice!
Why do we love it?

✔️ Gives your dog a clear job
✔️ Can be incredibly useful in everyday life

Check out our trainers working together with their board & train pups during an indoor pack walk! 👏🐕
Pack walks are about so much more than simply walking dogs together.
They help dogs learn:
✔️ Neutrality around other dogs
✔️ Focus on their handler despite distractions
✔️ Calmness in exciting environments
✔️ Confidence and self-control
✔️ How to exist peacefully in a group setting
One of the biggest misconceptions is that every dog needs to interact with every dog they see. In reality, one of the most valuable skills a dog can learn is how to be comfortable and relaxed around other dogs without feeling the need to engage.
These walks also give our trainers the opportunity to work together, challenge the dogs in a controlled environment, and help prepare them for the real world. 🌎💛

🐾 We recently had the opportunity to meet Matt Bender with Coastal K9 Cardio, and what a great concept! 👏🐕
For those who may not know, Matt provides treadmill exercise sessions for dogs right from his climate-controlled van, servicing our entire local area. And during these hot Florida months, that's a fantastic option for many dogs! ☀️🥵
One thing we talk about often is that dogs need both physical exercise AND mental stimulation to be their best selves.
A well-exercised dog is often:
✔️ More relaxed at home
✔️ Better able to focus during training
✔️ Less likely to develop nuisance behaviors from boredom
✔️ Happier and healthier overall
Of course, exercise alone won't solve every behavior issue, but when paired with training, structure, and enrichment, it can make a huge difference.
Whether it's walks, training sessions, nose work, hiking, fetch, swimming, or services like Coastal K9 Cardio, finding healthy outlets for your dog's energy is important! 💛
