EAP is an experiential/interactive therapy integrating the horse with a licensed/credentialed mental health professional and a horse specialist for the purpose of working with the client for the purpose of facilitating the healing process. EAP is an effective treatment and intervention to address a wide variety of mental health problems through varied activities and exercises the horse in the arena becomes a metaphor for the clientís behaviors and relationships. One of the most important benefits of EAP is that it breaks down defense barriers that are often created when a client enters a counseling session. Excellent for substance abuse, domestic violence and communication problems.
