How can we conquer the Covid pandemic ? 09/02/2021

How can we conquer the Covid pandemic ?

A Simple explaination on how and why we have these vicious mutations happening post vaccinations. Relying on the false hopes of one cure all solution to any pandemic without embracing lifestyle change and nature itself will continue to create more complicated variants. Remember to quarantine after receiving any vaccination - vaccinated individuals and groups puts others (vaccinated or not) at risk, continue to take your own personal health and immunity into account when trying to overcome this pandemic, stop harassing people about their personal health choices out of fear or ignorance and focus on what you can do to help yourself, your family and our communities. No vaccine will save us, but a more holistic approach combined with responsibility of protecting yourself and others when vaccinated, or not, will help us conquer this pandemic like we have many others.

How can we conquer the Covid pandemic ? Delta variant makes the pandemic more difficult to control. We can not rely on vaccine. No vaccine can protect you completely. Chinese herbal medicine gives ...

I wish I could share all of these wonderful herbal smells with you as I prep, cook and package your medicine!!!

This is Hong Hua, which some of you may know as Safflower. It invigorates the blood and stops pain, enters the heart and liver channels and treat a wide variety of problem due to blood stasis! It has a light, harmonious and rapid effect on the movement of blood due to its light weight nature. At different doses it can either gently move, nourish and moisten the blood or break up blood. Hong Hua can ‘harmonize the blood’ which can have an indirect effect of soothing Liver constraint.

It can very powerfully drive things out of the body, so please always consult with your local practitioner when using herbal medicine. 🌿

Chinese Herb Garden

Sweet, bland, and slightly cold, Yì Yĭ Rén 薏苡仁 (Coix lacryma-jobi) is one of the Chinese medicinals commonly used in food - added to soups or rice porridge. Known as Pearl Barley or Job’s Tears (though not related to barley), it is used similarly as a grain.

It tonifies the Spleen and augments the Lungs; leaches out dampness from the bones, sinews, and muscles to treat painful obstruction disorder; cools heat and expels pus to treat sores and abscesses.

Used also as ornamental beads: the necklace shown was a gift from my Chinese medicine mentor brought back from Hawaii.

Easy to grow from seed, shown at the @ucbgarden in the first picture and as young plant starts in my garden in the second picture (seeds from @bakercreekseeds ).

Repost from @acupuncturemediaworks

🦠Probiotics stimulate the growth of microorganisms, such as beneficial bacteria of the intestinal flora.🦠
-
-
Having the right gut bacteria is linked to numerous health benefits, including weight loss, improved digestion, and healthier skin. There is now substantial evidence that probiotics can provide benefits by improving and modulating immune function, regulating inflammation, and cell-to-cell signaling. Certain probiotics have even shown to decrease airway hyperresponsiveness and inflammation by inducing regulatory mechanisms.
-
-
A great way to nourish a healthy gut is to consume foods filled with beneficial bacteria, rather than adding supplemental pills. This includes cultured dairy products like yogurt and kefir; fermented vegetables such as kimchi or sauerkraut; miso, tempeh, natto, and other fermented soy products; as well as kombucha (a type of fermented tea).
-
Probiotics are considered generally safe to consume but may cause bacteria-host interactions and unwanted side effects in rare cases. Ask a qualified practitioner for more details.

We're all hearing it, remember to stay hydrated, but why?
-
-
Well for starters, did you know that your body weight is nearly 60% water? Drinking water does more than just quench your thirst. Water is a vital source of life, and without it, life on Earth would not exist as we know it. Staying properly hydrated allows cells, organs, and tissues to maintain bodily function. These functions include regulating temperature, retaining optimum levels of moisture in the blood, bones, and brain, as well as excrete waste through perspiration, urination, and defecation. -
-
Considering our bodies lose water through processes like breathing, sweating, and digestion, it is very important to rehydrate by drinking fluids and eating foods that contain water. The amount of water your body needs is dependant on various factors including, climate, physical activity, illnesses, and other health conditions. -
-
There's no hard and fast rule. Many individuals get their daily required water by simply drinking water when they're thirsty. According to a report on nutrient recommendations from the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies, if you're losing fluids for any of these reasons, especially in the midst of high fever symptoms seen in Covid-19 and other active influenza viruses, it's important to increase your fluid intake so that you can restore your body's natural hydration levels.
-
-
During these concerning times with the complications of this Covid-19 pandemic just beginning, we encourage you to do all that you can to stay healthy, safe and well-rested. We hope to help you become inspired by living a healthy lifestyle, do your own research and spread some wholesome wellness in your world.

Now go drink some water!

The following info is a Repost from @acupuncturemediaworks
-
Modern Chinese tonic herbalism concludes that it is acceptable to use both Ginseng and Codonopsis root in the same formulation since they have totally different phytochemical profiles.
-
Condonopsis (specifically the root) has been widely used throughout Chinese Medical history as an herbal supplement for Qi deficiency. It is thought to be very mild with little to no side effects while holding the qualities of a potent tonic. -
Condonopsis root promotes the production of body fluids while rejuvenating the spleen and liver. Codonopsis is extremely effective at boosting vitality and relieving a sense of general fatigue. Many women use it to build blood. This root is also an excellent herb for kids, thought to help muscle development. -
-
There are many combinations and recipes that include Condonopsis root, from dysentery to asthma. -
-
🌿What are your favorite Codonopsis tonic combinations?🌿

#WeLoveMoxa 🌿
🔥The Burning Herb That Heals🔥
-
-
"Moxa" or "moxibustion" is a term derived from the Japanese word "mogusa" or "mo kusa", meaning, “burning herb.” -
-
It can be found in many forms, but it is always harvested from the mugwort plant. After harvesting, the leaves are ground aged for 3-5 years before use. Mugwort has been used alongside acupuncture for over 3,000 years, or simply as long as we have evidence of the practice. In fact, there is evidence of a long history of the use of mugwort within the archives of Western civilization too. Its Latin name, Artemesia Vulgaris associates the herb with the Greek God Artemis.
-
-
But why does all this matter to you?
-
Well, now more than ever, if you are looking for immune supportive therapies, consider adding moxibustion to your routine. Moxa is used both directly and indirectly, depending upon the intended effects. Moxibustion exerts its therapeutic effect by modulating the microbiome and intestinal mucosal immunity. It is used to great effect in tandem with acupuncture points, enhancing and maximizing the effects of the acupuncture needles.
-
This is the perfect time of year for treatments to boost the immune system, and a perfect way to sample the effects of moxa. As always, please be proactive with your health. Allow yourself to be inspired by these recommendations, but please seek professional advice when adding any large changes to your daily routine. -
