The official art page of award winning artist Linda Storm. Open 24/7 online: LindaStormArt.com Santa Fe, New Mexico artist Linda Storm is an internationally recognized award-winning artist.

In 2018, she accepted an invitation to represent America in a bi-solo exhibit with an Italian artist in Italy. Before that she collaborated for six years with a Cuban artist. They painted on hundreds of the same canvases. In 2019 she was surprised to receive The People’s Choice Award by the Albuquerque Journal North. She is the official artist for the New Mexico Platinum Music Awards, mentored high school students since 2012, and she co-founded an art collective in Santa Fe, NM in 2018. Her life’s work is to resurrect, with paint on canvas, the divine feminine from ancient global cultures. Her art encourages questions about how current beliefs affect gender roles, spiritual life, and political power. With the onset of the pandemic, Linda created a group on Facebook called Creativity During Covid-19, where more than one hundred artists, musicians, and other creatives from around the world communicate while in social isolation. Linda is currently painting flowers on miniature canvases as gifts for patients recovering from Covid-19 in her local hospital. You can learn more on her website LindaStormArt.com
an exhibition representing the best artists of New Mexico, and featured in, and on the cover of periodicals, books, and several art sites. Interested? See it in person. She welcomes guests into her art studio located at 1807 Second Street #4, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 87505.

More details from my She Resonates Harmony. I combined myths in this painting of Saraswati the creatress. After I painted the magical golden apple tree I stood back to look and saw a face! I didn’t paint it there. See it? The goddess was busy with her four hands making rain, music and the spirit who belongs to that face!

Who Won is the title of this painting. It’s from my Warrior Tree Series, inspired by a short blurb I read years ago about how ancient Juniper trees survive in the harshest climates. The article said they were called warrior trees. I loved that. I also love Ents. Can you see all the chess pieces?

Another improved painting from 2 years ago. The sun is gold metal paint. Many of you know how I love ravens. Not for their reputation as a bird of bad omens, but for their intelligence, their living breathing blackness. There are many where I live, I watch their antics daily, and I am sure they watch mine. It’s a mini 6x6 incher with a depth of one inch.

I’ve been reworking some small paintings I knew I could improve. I kept thinking of a title for this one and came up with She Emerges. It’s 6x6 inch that’s one inch wide. It sits nicely on a shelf or hangs. PM me if you are interested.

Today I visited my mother’s 2 day old grave with my sisters. We shared libations of her favorite wine, pouring it on the Earth above her body after our toast to her, and before we drank. I am glad we have each other.

Being a woman owned business is such a challenge. In 2020 I focused on researching and painting ancient healing goddesses from global cultures, creating a site to purchase prints and more of my art, and I submitted to a LOT of opportunities. I learned to let rejections roll off my back and not allow them to weigh me down. My success is measured in acceptances not in finances, because money comes and money goes. But of course I need it to survive. I felt best in 2020 when I accepted an invitation by The Santa Fe Medical Fund to paint and donate art to recovering Covid 19 patients. I also felt good when I was accepted into HARMONIZE, a group exhibit for 2021, and when I was accepted to The Chateau Orqueveax Residency, in France, 2021-22, when The New Mexico Committee for the National Museum of Women in the Arts featured my art, and when I was accepted into The New Mexico Public Arts Acclaimed Artist series, and invited to be featured and represented by the reputable online gallery SINGULART, based in Paris, France. I was also the recipient of an honorable mention, honorarium and inclusion in a national virtual exhibition by Mozaik Philanthropy, I created a Facebook group for creatives to share their talents on Face Book during the pandemic, I created an album cover commissioned by Grammy winning musician Larry Mitchell, and painted a 60-foot indoor mural in private home.
I also heard from many of you that there needs to be more options for purchasing my art, so I worked on making that happen, please have a look, and share, and purchase something you like: https://www.redbubble.com/people/LindaStorm/shop?asc=u

Have you seen my new gallery? Singulart invited me to join last year, and after the 3rd time, I checked into their integrity, and joined. A few weeks later they sold 5 of my paintings to a collector in Switzerland!
Yes, my prices have gone up. I am proud of that. You can also make an offer. I have final say about accepting it. Here is the site.

Another trip around the sun as I contemplate my life. Minutes can pass like hours and years can pass like seconds. On this day of my birth I feel gratitude for my life. As I witness the tragedies on screens encouraged by corrupt politicians, I know without a doubt that when we work together respectfully with each other and nature we sustain a way of life for those who will come after us. I recently received a profound inspiring gift, a week on the nurtured property of Jack London, the writer known mostly for The Call of the Wild. He was less known for his love of the land. His legacy for what he lived for lives on in what he left behind. I feel blessed that my children are my best friends, and hope that what I have lived for when I am gone, will continue to be a part of them, and that my story will shine through my art. I am grateful.

I am trembling from excitement about this!

Dear Linda Storm & Gary Storm,

Congratulations and welcome as an Artist-in-Residence at Chateau d'Orquevaux in France!

I applied as an artist and musician. I've been learning native flute from master player Judy Cormier, and want to create music with Gary, he plays viola and acoustic guitar. I will also paint while there, and of course leave one as a gift. I am beyond thrilled. https://www.chateauorquevaux.com/

On this Thanksgiving I will be cooking in my parents' home, where I have been for the last 8 weeks, as a caregiver. My mother will guide me as much as she is able, to recreate the tastes of so many other Thanksgivings we shared in the past. I will cherish each moment as I try my best. I see myself, my children, my grandchild, and my sisters in her, and her in them. She is a magic mirror, a deep pool of reflection, and part of my backbone.

Shadows on The Soul, by Larry Mitchell

Larry performed in my art studio in January, 2020. Surrounded by my paintings, he filled my studio with otherworldly sounds to a small group of music and art lovers. The experience was soul-stirring, uplifting, and universal. A few months later Larry asked what came to mind when I thought of Shadows on the Soul, and if I’d be interested in creating art for his next collection of music.
Each of my paintings evolves as I explore and meditate about the concept I wish to depict. For this project, I also needed Larry’s thoughts and expectations. We met the next time he was in Santa Fe. While sitting and holding my sketchbook, Larry played unplugged and told life stories and experiences and shared his personal beliefs that inspire his music. As I listened, I realized I would be painting Larry’s passion, intentions, beliefs, ideas, and his profundity of mystery.
I sketched an idea and sent it to Larry. He sent me a new song, yet unreleased, and I began painting while listening. The artwork evolved as my brush was guided by the notes Larry wove on his guitar. The art and the music became one.

Mr. Schwanekamp was my art teacher when I was 14. I remember when he told me that I can use a pencil to create art, just define what I see with shadows and light. Neurons connected in my brain at that moment, and kept on going. Here is my drawing of a stuffed animal just aftrward. I never saw my art teacher after I left school, but his words are with me every time I create art. I feel immense gratitude for him.

Details details. The full painting of Sumerian Goddes Bau is an earlier post. I share parts of the whole for you to scroll through. I created universal energy entwined with DNA in a figure 8 (eternity symbol) between her open hands. According to stories, She always had her dog with her. Although this was inspired by an ancient diva, I couldn’t help thinking the album Dog and Butterfly by #heartofficial had influenced me. I played that album a lot!

In the spring of 2018, I met artist Karin (Kiran)Holgersson, from Stockholm, Sweden. She was visiting Santa Fe, New Mexico and, as fate would have it, we connected. When we met and shared images of our art, we discovered an unusual commonality. Although we were unknown to each other, and separated by an ocean, we had each been painting eggs, for years. Karin’s work was abstract, mine was surreal.
We decided to meet daily to create small paintings together for the duration of her visit. Each began with an egg. Our work became meditative, and flowed easily, as we switched canvases back and forth, completing the egg that the other had painted. The egg is a profound example of the simplicity and complexity of life, an icon that connects the spiritual with the physical.
Our collaboration was so captivating that we met again in Italy in 2018, during my solo exhibition there, to paint together again. We plan to keep creating our egg series, and when it is safe to do so, exhibit our work.
I just submitted it to an online call for art, and it made me feel really good to look at it, so I decided to share our work with you here.
I introduce you to the extraordinary person who is Karin with our art, and her recent post:
All living beings. Just heard on the news that another black man was shot in the US. When will this stop?!. May heart is crying. Felt it in my body. May we all stand up for all people's rights and truth. May our collective consciousness open up to see our connection. We are one. Praying & acting. Praying for all closed hearts ....it is ourselves we are trying to kill...projections never works. Look deep inside. Find the road. Sometimes feel like I was born on the wrong planet....of course not. I am here. Suppose to be here. Integrating. Doing as well as I can. May some closed hearts open up today.
Love 🦋 Kiran
