Happy Earth Day! 🌍
Meet a new Earth Economy Mercado artist!
Selina is a lino-printing artist and musician from Santa Fe, NM. Her interest in lino-printing began in 2019 when she studied abroad in London, UK, and was interested in attending an event which included a lino-printing workshop. She became intrigued by the art form and began researching until she stumbled across the work of Jose Guadalupe Posada, a Mexican artist and creator of La Catrina. Posada inspired her to use lino-printing to pursue her dream of making art for social change.
Selina also enjoys water coloring, building 2-D cardboard puppets, reading and playing her instrument, la vihuela. Instagram: .t.corazon_chueco

More artists who will be at the Earth Economy Mercado this Sunday, April 24!
Meet Christian Gering! Christian Gering is a Katishyta’meh and Pi’Pil artisan who grew up amongst the neon lights of the Las Vegas streets. Although, he traded in the bright lights, big city for the dusty arroyos and high desert mountains of New Mexico in Oga’Po’geh (Santa Fe). He is an emerging artist whose focus of mediums are on digital illustration, abstract art, colored pencil drawing, paint makers, zine making, and comics. His artistic pursuit is influenced and informed by the state of imagination one may enter when moving ones’ body throughout life. While in motion, ideas, concepts, shapes, colors, and moments have come across his creative mind and left their mark into his practice. Through motion, Christian has built into his artistic practice the importance of aligning mind, body, and creative spirit. In the same way his ancestors have seen the shapes and cycles that connect us to the natural world. He wants to continue the practice and reverence held in regards to all lifeways.
