Northern’s 2007 boys select team kicked off their spring season by taking 1st place in the Gold bracket of the AUFC Spring Blast tournament this weekend. Congratulations boys! ⚽️🏆

Please help us welcome our new Operations Manager, Diego Perea, to the Northern family. Diego is a native of Santa Fe and attended Santa Fe Prep. After achieving All-State honors as a goalkeeper, he went on to Earlham College to play collegiately. Diego brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience. We are excited to have him on board!

Registration for spring soccer is currently open! To register for RRNSC’s Development, Academy, or Select programs please go to northernsc.org.

Whether your child is a beginner who just wants to learn the game and have fun, or an experienced, competitive player, RRNSC’s variety of programs cater to all skill levels. Players ages 4-15 years old join the development program for a fun and structured soccer experience, that adheres to US Soccer Federation’s development models. Players 8-10 years old can join the academy. The academy offers trained, professional coaches to help players prepare for the jump from development to select soccer. The select program is open to players 9-18 years old who want to play the most competitive soccer New Mexico and surrounding areas have to offer. Players are selected on a tryout basis and must be invited to register for the select program.

Club soccer puts the sport out of reach for many kids Playing competitive youth soccer can cost families a small fortune, excluding kids who might excel at the sport. There are efforts around the country to get more kids in the game.

Join us this Friday, November 25th at the Santa Fe Railyard for a World Cup Watch Party. The United States National Team faces off against England! Pre-game begins at 11 a.m. Kick-off is at noon. Bring a chair and warm clothing. There will be food trucks on site.

Look out for our registration booth to sign up for the spring season. Each player registered at the watch party will receive a free RRNSC miniature soccer ball!!

The development season begins early April. Kids 3-14 years old can play in a fun, inclusive, and competitive environment that follows United States Soccer’s player development models.

World Cup contest #2:

World Cup kicks off today with Qatar vs Ecuador at 9am. The host country is featured in the opening game on the first day of the tournament. The host country gets an automatic bid to the World Cup. The United States, Mexico, and Canada will co-host the 2026 World Cup and all three countries will get automatic places in the tournament.

This contest is a simple one today. COMMENT with the name of your favorite player who is rostered on a team in the 2024 World Cup. See the game rules for details.

Contest closes: 11/21/2022 8pm MST
