I loved restoring this raku sculpture as it reminded me of my days at Sotheby’s Art Auction House when people would bring their treasured items with the most profound stories.

Heidi Loewen Fine Art just had the most wonderful visit with the Icheon, South Korean Delegation.

Mayor Eam Tai-Chai; his lovely wife and others from the delegation even tried their hands at the pottery wheel with me.

They all made spectacular art pieces.

We spoke at length to organize an Artist Exchange with our magnificent Creative Sister City of Icheon. Wouldn’t that be beautiful!

I shared the very happy memories of my visit there in 2012 as the UNESCO & Santa Fe chosen ceramic artist. I taught, lectured and had the privilege to work with South Korean Living Treasure, Ceramic Artist: Han Do Hjun. It was pure heaven.

The lovely journalist and photographer, Olivia Harlow, will publish a comprehensive article in the “Santa Fe New Mexican” from this morning’s visit with the South Koreans on Friday, July 12.
