Royal A. Prentice was a Rough Rider and lawyer but contributed most significantly through his photography and archeology which came about through volunteering at the Museum of New Mexico.

Walking Tours of Historic Downtown Santa Fe
Now available by reservation!

Visiting Santa Fe this summer? Will you have friends or family visiting and want to find uniquely Santa Fe activities for them? A tour with one of our museum-trained docents is the perfect way to experience the true stories, characters, and places that make Santa Fe “The City Different.”

Santa Fe local? Take a tour just might bring to light a few surprises about our town’s amazing history.

Tours are temporarily available--by advance reservation only--due to COVID restrictions, but you can choose any day and time that best fits your schedule. Email our tour manager, Scott Green, at [email protected].

Tours last two hours and can be customized to fit your special interests.

Tickets are $15 per person; children 16 and under tour at no charge. Friends of History members receive a 20% discount for themselves and the guests they accompany.
