A rare photo of me out in the wild

The old Fairplay Schoolhouse in Eastern Colorado ended operations in the late 1950s.

I was out on assignment and decided to grab some snaps using my new MAVEN Filtersers infrared filter. I'm still new to this infrared thing but I'll get the hang of it. And those MAVEN Filters are amazing!

Waking up at 4:30 am isn't my usual cup of tea, especially on a spring break meant for relaxation. But the call of Mesa Arch at sunrise was too powerful to ignore. Moab's beauty awaited, and despite the pitch-black morning that hid the path underfoot, I ventured towards Canyonlands, guided by the stars and the company of a fellow early-rising photographer. Standing beneath the arch, with the first light painting the sky in hues of gold and orange, I knew the sleep sacrificed was worth it.

Went to walk through the woods with my wife and kids and usually, that doesn't make for great photos. Yesterday was different thanks to the changing colors and the cloud cover.

Fall colors are starting to pop in the high Uinta Mountains.

My wife sent me out to shoot the moon last night but it was covered in clouds, so I turned around and watched a light show. Can't say it's my favorite photo (the wind made this a tad soft) but it was fun to take.

There weren't any wildflowers in this spot but I couldn't resist the leading line from the road.

Explored a place I'd never been to last night. The light never quite did anything magical but the scenery was stunning.
