Hobby CNC Machine | thetechden Posted on 07/03/201518/03/2015 by Luke I’m going to build a hobby CNC machine! I’ve wanted one for a while, but never quite been able to afford an off the shelf item such as the Shapeoko or 3020 eBay special. I’ve scoured the internet for DIY examples, of which there are numerous, but none have quit…

Pocket NC - The first 5 axis CNC mill for your desktop. 07/16/2015

Meant to post this a few weeks ago. Here's Pocket NC's 5 axis CNC mill project on Kickstarter. We shared a booth with this awesome couple at Bay Area Maker Faire 2014 and they were extremely nice and knowledgeable. They mentioned a plan to launch a Kickstarter eventually, and we are very pleased to see they hit it out of the park just a year later! Less than 3 days to pledge if you're interested! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1090944145/pocket-nc-the-first-5-axis-cnc-mill-for-your-deskt

Here’s a shoutout to one of our very own Kickstarter backers who is currently running his own campaign (and it’s not his first either.) If you’re interested in solar gadgets, go check out his campaign “The Badger: Waterproof USB Solar Charger”. Joshua is a very interesting, knowledgeable, and kind guy that we were fortunate enough to get to talk to several times during and after our Kickstarter journey. Having launched just this morning, he’s already 50% there! Keep it up Joshua!
