It's been a minute since I've posted here—okay, more like a few years. The truth is, I’ve been juggling an insane schedule, working six days a week and balancing a whole lot of life. But reggae never left my heart, and I know it’s still beating strong in this community.

During the early days of the pandemic, everything shut down. Reggae events came to a screeching halt—except for a few of us who kept the flame lit. I’m proud to say that DJ Spleece, Reality Sound, and Moe’s Alley held it down when everything and everyone else was silent.

Fast forward to now—spring 2025—and reggae is back in full force in Santa Cruz! There’s a lot going on, and it’s more important than ever to support the culture, the artists, and the vibes that bring us together.

This group used to be a hub for all things reggae in the 831, and while I can’t promise daily updates, I do want to start sharing a few things again when I can. It might be a little sparse at first, but I’m here—and I see you.

If you’re hosting or know about local reggae events, feel free to post and share! This space belongs to all of us. Let’s keep the fire burning.
