Snippet of a song I wrote “Just a Little Love” ☺️💕

I wrote this a while ago and I remember I was about to perform it until the pandemic shut everything down. But things are looking up and hopefully I can sing it live soon! Gives me more time to write in some horn parts 🤞🎷😋

Snippets of my original song “The Ride” performed at my student’s showcase Monday! As a classically-trained pianist there were a few things I wanted to share with my students in this performance: 1. I wanted them to see me play in a band setting to notice the non-verbal communication that we have to play as a team 2. That there are no limits to music. They can create anything they want using the the knowledge and technique they have on the piano. Practice and self-discipline will help them grow as a pianist 3. Just like my students I practice everyday, and challenge myself to get better. That being a classically-trained can be a weakness for me and that in order to get better in jazz and other genres I must work everyday to train my ear and step out of my comfort zone in piano playing. Thanks and Andrew Armstrong for sharing this moment with me 🎹🎶😍
