Ok. I need to get to the point that I can write a funny song about this s**t... A recent white paper by Foster and Rahmstorf compared the output of the five biggest modeling engines that spend all their time thinking about climate systems. All of them report that we're going to cross 3.0C by 2060 and 2.0C by 2034. It's worth mentioning, as the authors of the data compilation paper do, that 3.0C is "incompatible with civilization." I like that little note. It's fun, isn't it? What they didn't write, is that 2.0C is a kind of "shock to the system" that humans have never experienced. Ever.
