Hingemate

We had a customer in Colorado buy Hingemate's after students were entering a computer room and removing equipment and nobody knew how until another student told about how they would remove the hinge pins and enter the room and replace the pins after they were outside. No damage was done and yet equipment was missing. Adding Hingemate Security Pins stopped this!

We had a customer concerned about the door hinge security screws they purchased. We tell people that the trademarked Hingemate product we have been manufacturing since 1989 has been knocked off by a Chinese company. However our Hingemate product has been engineered for its purpose and is manufactured in the USA. Here is what the customer had to say.

"FYI, we mistakenly tried the Chinese knockoff first (didn't know at the time) and was refunded for defective item. Their threads appear to be 5.5Mx1.0mm (not 12-24 SAE, not standard metric, though a tap exists) for the machine thread section. Also, their threads are closed off at the bottom, so it has to be filed open to thread it into anything. Thought you might like to know how much they messed up your design when they copied it. Total fail for steel doors.

While cleaning out some old files this week I came across the first generation of Hingemate. It was a screw machine made part and only worked on metal doors with metal threads. We have made many improvements since 1989 👍🇺🇸
