Come see this at Troy Montana’s old fashioned 4th!

Today I’d like to share something about myself you may find interesting, and maybe you can relate.

I connect with and meet hundreds of new people every year, this may be one of the reasons names can be difficult for me at times. And it can be a source of embarrassment. But bring up what we talked about the last time we met, and I remember most of it!

Or ask me about a movie I seen a year or two ago and unless it made an impact on me I can barely remember it!

Now when it comes to my images it’s a different story! Here is a different take on photographic memory.

I can remember the feeling I had but much more than that. The song playing in my headphones. If I was emotional at the beauty in that moment. If I was sad or lonely. The inner dialogues I was having with myself and or God. The trip and the adventure to get there, and if I was exhausted from it. Sometimes even what I ate and the conversations I had before and after with people! The girl I was excited about at the time! The wind in my face or rain on my cheeks. It’s all there! One photo can bring up one hundred memories.

And I think that’s beautiful

This has a different feel than what I usually share. I like the tones and film look to it. What do you all think? I took this shortly before sunset in Montana’s backcountry this weekend. I hiked to the top of a lesser known peak and spent the night.

Pro tip. Can you see the lookout?

Thank you for everyone that came out last night. It was cool seeing some new faces that follow my work. I enjoyed meeting you and getting a chance to hear your stories while telling mine!

This image was taken a few years back up in Yaak, Montana during a freezing cold fall morning on top of a mountain.

Come on by Art Works Gallery and say hi tonight! I’ll
Be around from 4-8. Good food and drinks!

Anyone who has followed me awhile knows that old mountain snags are one of my very favorite things to find and take pictures of. This is one I happened to find last weekend. I love the way the clouds form a backdrop on it. Taken near the Canadian border in the Idaho Selkirk Mountains
