A day in the life of an irrigation technician. π±π§
This is a pretty typical day for our Landscape and Irrigation team. After uncovering a leak beneath the surface, crews removed roots that had damaged the sprinkler system and replaced the broken parts.
Not every repair is visible, but every repair helps keep our landscapes healthy and thriving.

Our Parks Maintenance team recently completed the installation of 14 new benches throughout the park, giving visitors comfortable new places to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
A couple of the benches even come with a bonus feature: scenic views of Mount Diablo and the Eagle Memorial.
The only thing left to do is pick your favorite seat π³

We know many residents are eager to enjoy Critter Crossroads Park and have questions about when it will open.
While construction is substantially complete, the park must go through a final turnover process before it can open to the public. Because the park is being constructed by the developer and has not yet been turned over to the City, the City does not control the project timeline.
The developer is currently working through the required paperwork with the County. Once submitted, the County's review process can take up to 60 days before ownership and maintenance of the park can officially be transferred to the City.
For the latest information, project milestones, and status updates, please visit our Critter Crossroads Park webpage: sanramon.ca.gov/critter-crossroads-park
We appreciate your patience and look forward to welcoming the community to the park as soon as the turnover process is complete.

Weβre halfway through Public Works Week! Today we are highlighting three more program areas from our Public Services Division!
π³π¦ Our Landscape team helps keep San Ramon looking beautiful year-round. From trimming trees and cleaning up fallen branches to repairing irrigation systems and planting new landscaping, their work helps maintain the public areas that residents enjoy every day. They help keep the city green, healthy, and looking its best through every season.
π»π Our Administrative team keeps everything moving behind the scenes. They answer resident phone calls and service requests, coordinate safety and training programs, process invoices, manage social media, oversee staff uniforms and handle countless day-to-day tasks that help support the entire department. If something is organized, scheduled, processed, or answered, there is a good chance the Admin team helped make it happen.
πβ»οΈ Our Fleet & Sustainability teams help keep the city running efficiently both on the road and behind the scenes. Fleet staff maintain City vehicles, work trucks, and heavy equipment so crews can respond safely and reliably every day. Meanwhile, the Sustainability team oversees the Cityβs partnership with ACI, supports the Trash Free San Ramon initiative, and works to make the community more environmentally friendly through waste reduction and sustainability efforts.
Thank you to these teams for all the work you do to support the community every day!
