Streaming has become a currency exchange for identity. People pay — with money, time, attention, and self-respect — in hopes of visibility, relevance, or fleeting community. It’s not about expression anymore. It’s about metrics. Views, likes, subs, donations — none of it adds up to meaning, but all of it is treated like proof of value.

That being said...

PAYING FOR VIEWS/PLAYS whether through direct promotion, artificial boosts, or influencer placements — is corrosive to any platform that claims to value real art, real connection, or long-term trust.

It distorts the entire ecosystem. What should be a merit-based discovery process turns into a pay-to-win arms race. Visibility goes to the highest bidder, not the most compelling work. Independent creators get buried, audiences are misled, and authenticity becomes a branding gimmick.

We are staunchly against this practice because it poisons the foundation of the platform itself. Once inflated metrics take hold, everything downstream becomes warped: curation, community, compensation, reputation. The signal-to-noise ratio collapses.

And once the audience catches on — and they always do — you lose them. No one wants to engage with a system they know is rigged.

We reject the idea that visibility should be for sale. We won’t participate in the commodification of false momentum.
