We are continuing our celebration of Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, highlighting our amazing Momentum staff! Please meet our Program Manager of Alameda Outpatient, Adrian Juarez!

How is Hispanic Heritage Month meaningful to you?
It is meaningful to me because it’s the month that we celebrate independence. Throughout Latino cultures, we recognize the fact that we have a complex history and deep rooted values and practices. The Hispanic heritage has many descendants that have contributed to the world in many ways. This month is to bring awareness and build alliance with Hispanic communities.

Is there any special way you and/or your family celebrate the month?
My family and I not only celebrate this month but we celebrate most national holidays with a Hispanic twist and some specific to Mexican culture. My favorite is Dia De Los Mu***os because we celebrate our loved ones whom we have lost and continue to remember. Growing up in a border town, Dia De Los Mu***os was always a very big holiday and was celebrated by many.
