Need your help ᕦ|◕ ⌂ ◕|ᕤ I'm surveying mental health workers to learn more about how you protect yourself from work stress while treating patients in a social media saturated world. The survey takes 12 minutes & you qualify to win a $50 Amazon card. To jump right in-> https://forms.gle/VKryHEESnpuENXLJA

This is a completely anonymous academic study. To qualify, you need to be working as a licensed mental health worker or working for a licensed supervisor. It is important to have a Facebook account but you do not have to be a frequent user. Feel free to pass along to co-workers and colleagues. I'm recruiting therapists, social workers, nurses and psych nurses, as well as MD's, who treat trauma vulnerable patients. The wider the sample, the more relevant the findings will benefit mental health efficacy.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me. My name is Jason Buening & I am a graduate student at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California.... [email protected]

I would like to work with you as a volunteer focusing on helping those in need in my neighborhood: 10th and Folsom, 10th and Harrison, 9th and Harrison to 9th and Folsom. Please private message me on how I can speak to someone to assist.
Hello. I am confused about the services provided by SF HOT (Homeless Outreach Team). I called today to report an incident with a disabled homeless person who has been sleeping outside my condominium (next door to a Chevron gas station) for a week or more.

Number one, the first question I was asked today when calling the SF HOT general help line: “Are you a citizen?” That really threw me, and I imagine that some callers could be alarmed by that type of questioning, especially right out of the gate.

I’m not sure I understand why citizenship should be a question. It appears the question should be “Are you calling as a resident or organization?”

Then, immediately after reporting my incident, I was given a lengthy “disclaimer” about all the things HOT cannot do. Quite honestly, I am dismayed that their team does not focus on the things SF HOT CAN DO.

In fact, I got the impression that there’s very little that HOT handles itself, yet SFPD and our district supervisor highly recommend it.

In the end, I should’ve called the SFPD Southern Station directly.
