Myisha was diagnosed with breast cancer at the Avon Breast Center about three years ago. She started painting for therapeutic reasons. Myisha wanted to give back. Her giveback are the two paintings that she donated to the center to continue to tell her story. She didn't stop there she now volunteers and helps patients like herself at the Avon Breast Center three days a week Thank you to Myisha and San Francisco General Hospital Foundation for helping to spread her story!!!

Zuckerberg San Francisco General has a program called FACES which allows students from John O'Connell High School to intern at general hospital during their last years of school. During this time the students are placed in different departments. The Radiology department was one of the areas the students were placed to shadow the multiple areas such as , CT, IR Nursing, Mammography-Avon Breast Center, MRI, Ultrasound and diagnostic imaging. We are helping to build a better community.

We have accomplished our goal of doubling the number of patients being screened with the use of our mobile mammography Mammovan!!! In 2012 we did 792 patients and just last year we did 1586 patients. What an accomplishment!!! We want to thank ZSFG Radiology and UCSF Imaging for their on going support. Another thank you goes out to the dedicated Avon Breast Centers team for making this happen. It is a team that works together that can make these kind of changes!! We did it!!!!
