Took my kids out to eat, and within a few minutes I was already second-guessing the choice š
The vibe of the place just felt a little off for a family dinner, and it kind of threw me off while we were trying to enjoy our meal.
Has anyone else ever been somewhere where the atmosphere just didnāt match what you were expecting?

I really canāt even today š
Standing in line at the store and the person in front of me was wearing a cowboy hat, a bright red top, blue shorts, and cowboy boots like it was just a totally normal everyday outfit.
I get that everyone has their own style and people can wear what they want, it just caught me a bit off guard in the moment.
Maybe Iām just not used to it, but I still sometimes wonder if Iām the only one who finds public outfits getting more and more all over the place.

I know comfort is a big thing these days, but I still canāt quite get used to seeing people show up to a restaurant in what basically looks like bedtime outfits š
Stopped in for food today and saw pajama pants, oversized sweats, and house slippers like it was a living room instead of a public place to eat. Nobody was doing anything wrong, it just caught me off guard a bit.
Maybe Iām just old-fashioned, but I still feel like there should be at least a little difference between staying home and going out in public.

Came back out to my vehicle and someone had stuck one of those āyou park like an idiotā stickers on my bumper š
I get it, maybe the parking wasnāt perfect or I was a bit close to the line, but still⦠messing with someone elseās car like that feels pretty unnecessary.
If someone really feels the need to say something, a note wouldāve been one thing, but actually sticking something on the vehicle just feels a bit over the top.

I had to stop and stare today š
Some guy parked his giant lifted truck sideways at the pump and then just tried to fuel it from the ground like this was totally normal. No ladder, no step stool, nothingājust one arm stretched all the way up like he was watering a hanging plant.
On top of that, the truck was so crooked it was making it tough for everyone else to get around the pump.
Honestly, if your truck sits so high that filling it up turns into a circus act, maybe itās gone a little too far. At some point, it stops being impressive and just looks ridiculous.

First off, Iām pretty sure parking two vehicles in one spot isnāt how this is supposed to work ššļø
Also, can someone explain why the red motorcycle had to be parked so close that it completely blocked me from getting into my own car? I ended up standing there for like 15 minutes waiting for the owner to come back, until I realized I could squeeze in through the passenger side and climb over like I was doing some kind of parking lot obstacle course š
I get that motorcycles are smaller, but that doesnāt mean they get to make it impossible for other people to use their cars. Is basic parking awareness really too much to ask?
Some people treat parking lots like their own driveway, and then everyone else just has to figure it out around them. š

š³š½ļø I LEFT A $40 TIP⦠AND THE SERVER STILL LEFT THIS NOTE.
I honestly couldnāt believe it. Went out expecting a relaxing dinner with family and friends⦠and ended up questioning when tipping became an obligation instead of a simple thank-you. š
The night was rough from the start:
ā³ Drinks took forever
ā Our order came out wrong⦠twice
š Our server disappeared so much we joked about filing a missing person report
By the end of it, I was frustrated. But stillāI left a $40 tip. Not because the service was amazing, not because I loved the experience⦠but because I know people work hard and Iām not heartless.
Then I saw THIS note on the check:
"A $40 tip isnāt enough for poor service like this. We are leaving $0. You can thank yourself for that."
Jaw. Dropped. š³ Since when do customers get SHAMED over tips?
Look, tipping should reflect appreciationānot guilt, pressure, or entitlement. You can disagree with the amount, sure. But leaving a personal note criticizing a customer? That crosses a line.
Yes, I spoke to the manager. Yes, people around us noticed. And honestly⦠if youāre bold enough to leave a note like that, donāt be surprised when the conversation goes public too.
Now I really want to know: if $40 isnāt enough after terrible service⦠what WOULD have been enough? š¤
š¬ What do you thinkādid I overreact, or did the restaurant completely cross the line?
