Meet our Visionary: Mr. David Weaver!

David (or Huck, as he’s often known) started building sheds when he was 15, and has been managing RTO companies since 2008. He helped found Evergreen, and in addition to being one of the owners, he also works as the visionary for our team.

When asked if he would rather have the ability to speak to animals or to speak all languages fluently, he said he’d pick all languages. He thinks his animals already understand him and that seems a little creepy anyways.

David wishes that more people understood that all actions have consequences, both positive and negative. While you may not feel the consequences, others do.

If he could wake up tomorrow with a new talent or skill, he would choose to be able to play a musical instrument or being better at public speaking.

David’s passion for learning and becoming a better person carries into everything we do at Evergreen. He has a unique talent for seeing how things could be improved and what strengths people might have.

David wanted to say he’s extremely grateful for the quality of people he gets to work with, but we think that list starts with his name at the top. We're grateful for all he invests into his team, and the big ideas he always has.

Freedom isn't free, and we are grateful for those who gave everything for our country.

Our office is closed in observance of Memorial Day and we will re-open on Tuesday morning.

One of the RTO Companies we manage recently sponsored a golf tournament for The GLOW Mission. GLOW Mission is currently serving in Ukraine and bringing hope to the people there.

Our team didn't expect to win first place, but that win is simply a reflection of the excellence they bring to our office every day. Congratulations to Mr. Ashton, Mr. Brooks, and Mr. Colter!

We don’t assume, and we stay hungry for learning.

“Stay Curious” is one of our core values, and this quarter we’re taking extra time to remind each other of that. Some days it looks like asking better questions or believing the best about an unknown situation. Other days, it looks like reading a book or attending a conference to broaden our viewpoint.

No matter the application, we can always use a reminder that we don’t know everything, and we can learn from each other.

Today we are introducing Mary Weaver!

Ms. Mary started working with her brother David in the family RTO business 13 years ago, and they’ve not only stuck together through all the transitions, they also still like each other! She likes to joke that her and the company grew up together.

Mary currently handles a variety of administrative tasks, as well as Branding and Marketing. We’re grateful for her experience and tenacity to tackle any project that comes along.

If Mary could live anywhere in the world, she’d pick Scotland for the scenery and culture.

When Mary had more free time, she once read 5,029 pages in one month to raise money for a non-profit, and to prove that she could.

While most of Mary's roles and projects are behind the scenes, we know they're integral to keeping us organized and on track. Her years of experience and attention to detail are valuable to our office, as well as her sense of humor.

Ignite Movement is a ministry focused on teens and young adults, and they've been impacting the lives of young people at colleges across the southeast. We got to hear from Skyler about some of their recent experiences and it was inspiring to hear about the work that God is doing through their team.

The first quarter of this year we did a fun initiative centered around our Core Values.
Employees could nominate each other any time they witnessed an employee living out a specific Core Value, and it was fun to watch and discuss the results.
Out of 95 nominations, Mr. Brooks and Ms. Marilee rose to the top! Brooks received the most nominations, and Marilee nominated the most co-workers. We are grateful to have both of them on our team and for the way they serve and lead.

Our office will be closed tomorrow in observance of Good Friday. We will reopen on Monday, April 6. Have a blessed Easter weekend!

This week we wrapped up a Ramsey Finance class we've been hosting. While Dave may not approve of rent-to-own, we still approve of a lot of his teaching 😄.
We're proud to see so many of our employees and their families and friends choosing to learn more. And of course, having Ms. Bonnie arrange dinner for the attendees didn't hurt the approval ratings.
