We’re grateful to Kristy and Briana from VA Furniture Market for stopping by to tour our youth and adult group homes and see the difference their partnership makes.

Because of their generosity, our residents now have welcoming, comfortable space to enjoy the new, beautiful patio furniture where moments of rest and connection can happen each day.

Thank you for investing in the dignity and well-being of those we serve. Your support helps turn houses into homes. There's always a place for you in this mission. Discover how you can get involved: https://hopetreefs.org/get-involved/

We are honored to have received proclamations from City of Salem - City Hall Mayor Renée Turk and Governor of Virginia Abigail Spanberger, recognizing Foster Care Awareness Month and the ongoing need for foster families across Virginia.

With more than 5,000 children in foster care throughout the Commonwealth, this recognition serves as a reminder that every child deserves a safe, stable, and supportive home.

We are grateful for the foster parents, staff, partners, and supporters who help make that possible every day. Together, we can continue creating hope and brighter futures for children and families.

This past Saturday, our team had the privilege of attending the 7th Annual Women's Resource Summit hosted by Huddle Up Moms at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute.

We spent the day connecting with the moms in our community - listening to the stories they shared, offering support, and sharing resources. Every conversation reminded us why showing up for our community matters: when moms are supported, families grow stronger.

Taking part of outreach events helps us continue our commitment to meeting people and making sure they know they aren't alone. Walking alongside those we serve, our mission to serve our community with dignity, hope, and purpose. Together we're building a more supported community, one connection at a time. HopeTree leaders from across the organization came together for our annual CORE Leadership Forum, centered around this year's theme: One HopeTree: Blooming with Purpose.

Over two days, team members engaged in meaningful conversations, collaborative brainstorming, and plenty of laughter as we explored HopeTree updates, leadership development, and opportunities for future growth. The interactive sessions reminded us that some of the best ideas emerge when we learn from one another and work toward a shared vision.

A special thank you to Chuck Clement, Chairman of the HopeTree Board of Trustees, and Nicole Ramsey, Assistant Director of Career Development & Professional Transition at Roanoke College, for sharing their insights and encouraging us to think deeply about effective leadership for each individual we mentor and serve.

We're grateful for the dedication of our leaders and excited to continue growing together.🌱

Every child deserves to feel cared for, supported, and ready to take on the day.

We are incredibly grateful to the Petra Shoe and William Sock Ministry, and the Roanoke Seventh-day Adventist Church, for donating 60 pairs of new shoes and socks to the children at our Salem location.

This generous gift is more than just footwear. It provides comfort, confidence, and a reminder to our residents that their community cares about them. Acts of kindness like these help meet practical needs, as well as showing our youth that they're seen, supported, and valued.

Thank you - Jennifer, Petra, and William - for investing in the well-being of the youth we serve and for helping them take their next steps with confidence. This donation is a reminder of the impact our community can have when we come together to support the youth of our community. This week, we’re celebrating the HopeTree Academy Class of 2026! 🎓✨

From special moments before graduation to walking across the stage, we are incredibly proud of all this class has accomplished. Every student’s journey is different, and we’re honored to provide an environment where young people are encouraged, supported, and reminded of their potential every step of the way.

One of our seniors also enjoyed a complimentary graduation limo ride thanks to Melvin Ward. This is a thoughtful tradition that helped make this milestone even more memorable.

To the Class of 2026: Congratulations on this achievement and all the hard work that brought you here. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead for you.
