Welcome to the Blue Ridge Potters Guild.
We are a community of potters in Roanoke, VA and surrounding areas with a mission of promoting community awareness, understanding, and appreciation of pottery.

Curator Off Duty brings together artists from across Virginia in a unique exhibition celebrating creativity, diversity, and artistic expression across all media. Community Choice Awards are selected by exhibition visitors, making this recognition a meaningful reflection of public appreciation for the work.
Excellence in clay. Congratulations to this year’s Best in Show winner at the 68th Annual Sidewalk Art Show hosted by the Taubman Museum of Art. The Sidewalk Art Show is one of Virginia’s longest-running and most respected fine art events, bringing together more than 140 artists from across the country.

Save the Date! The 2026 BRPG Annual Show and Sale will be on Nov 7 and 8th at Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke, Virginia. The show features dozens of Virginia clay artists in addition to demonstrations and door prizes throughout the weekend.

The BRPG 2026 Student Art Show will remain on display at the Salem Museum (Salem, Virginia) through May 2nd. This year's show features almost 140 student artworks with eight schools participating from Roanoke and the New River Valley. Check it out anytime during regular museum hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-4pm.

The BRPG Juried Student Art Show opens tomorrow (Tues 4/14) at the Salem Museum. Featuring over 130 works of student art from 8 local middle and high schools:

(we're sorry to report Salem High had to withdraw due to kiln issues)
The show will remain on display during regular museum hours (Tues-Sat 10am-4pm) from Tues April 14th to Sat May 2nd.
Awards will be presented at a reception on Saturday April 25th at 2pm.

WORKSHOP May 2nd at Common Clay Collective Pottery Workshop
Guest artist Dara Hartman will guide you through the step-by-step process of mixing plaster and using it to create molds for slip casting and press molding. Join us for this wonderful educational opportunity and some pottery camaraderie!

BRPG members will be at the Roanoke Earth Day Celebration 🌎🌏🌍 presented by Clean Valley Council
Sign up for a free 40 minute session of instruction in sculpture or hand-building. We'll be using air-dry clay to make it easier for participants to keep their creations which can be painted and further decorated at home.
