I’ve added some new children’s books in my downstairs booth, from classic board books to picture books to more Nancy Drew chapter books. Perfect for a little snowy day reading.

I’ve been busy restocking my spaces and forgetting to take photos again. 🤷‍♀️ I did find a few on my camera roll. I’ve added wall art, lined wool pants, wool throws and blankets, bedding, an adorable table ideal for the end of bed (sorry no photo of that one), and loads more. As always, we’re open both days this weekend from 11 to 7 p.m.

It’s possible I like to read. 🤣 A couple of years ago I added audiobooks to my repertoire and the number of books I go through sky rocketed. I have found I can’t listen to as serious or dark a book without it negativity affecting my mood, which is never a problem for me while actually reading. Are you a reader? I’d love to know what you’ve read and enjoyed or hated. Feel free to leave me recommendations for reading or listening below.

The temptation to go out searching for more treasures for my booth is always powerful. Today I’m working on cleaning some of the treasures I already have at home that have been waiting to go into my booth. Boring for me but they’ll be some delightful new finds in my booth soon!

12/21/2022

Just some treasures on my tree as I’m cozied up at home on this snowy, freezing day.

Uranium glass banana split dishes! These were a first for me. I found them in Arizona last week, which seems more likely than here in Minnesota. I found another interesting uranium glass piece but I’m still trying to figure out more about it. Stay tuned.

10/25/2022

I found a little treasure trove of uranium glass recently. I love to clean it up and shine my black light on it Every Time I bring some home. It’ll be in my upstairs booth at the mall tomorrow afternoon.

Putting up some more Halloween decorations today. If you need a riser of orange books to put your spooky items on, you’ll find a stack in my upstairs booth. If your already thinking Christmas decor, there’s a stack of books with red spines on my shelf at the top of the stairs. The green stack is gone but I’ll have a replacement green stack in soon.

New ephemera from Portugal and the UK in my upstairs booth—postcards, photos & fungi. I’m working on some new ephemera packet ideas too.

Lisbon flea market time!

09/28/2022

Big changes in my upstairs booth. My prints, postcards, photos, and other ephemera is now all at browsing level. I have a rod installed under my new shelf where I’ll be adding more vintage fabric soon. I’ll be switching up my downstairs booth too. A large shelf sold upstairs and started the changes this week; however, it is right before another international trip so there’ll be a slight pause before the fabric arrives and the downstairs is reset. Not to worry, I restocked today and will bring more in before I go.

Botanical color plates from the late 60s on their way in today. These beautiful illustrations are by Czech illustrator Jarina Kaplická

I’ve brought in photos and ephemera from London this week. The botanic postcards in the fourth photo will be in this afternoon. I have some gorgeous, larger botanic watercolor bookplates soon to be packaged up. And I’m working on some new packets of French ephemera to bring in too.

09/07/2022

I’ve found some gorgeous books will I’ve been here in London. Most will stay in my collection…at least for now.

09/05/2022

I’ve only ever seen Catherine Holm on Instagram so I was delighted to find this lovely piece at yesterday’s vintage market.

I arrived in London this morning and headed out to the Portobello Road Market. I found some treasures right away.

08/21/2022

I added a bunch of lovely vintage perfume bottles to my case last week. They join a few contemporary bottles that are full or partially full.

08/02/2022

Bringing in a Split Rock Lighthouse original oil painting this afternoon. I was thrilled to find this at an estate sale over the weekend. It evokes summer days on the North Shore—the quintessential Minnesota vacation.

07/27/2022

My husband had a bit of fun with my birthday presents this year.

07/19/2022

These are some of the treasures I found out and about at estate sales this weekend. They’re headed into the mall a little slowly though. I’m off on short trip to Iceland with my youngest tomorrow so pricing will likely be later next week. Gotta say I love the old wood chip caddy with the clay chips.

07/04/2022

I added hundreds of postcards to my up- and downstairs booths over the last two days. Most are from the early 20th century. This is a sampling of some of those still left to price, not counting holiday ones.

06/22/2022

I love these vintage and antique silver-plated children’s mugs. I use the one on the right in my bathroom cabinet for cotton swabs. It’s just a little pretty corner in very mundane spot. The three on the left are in my downstairs booth, along with a bit more silver plate, if you want to repurpose one too for a little touch of luxury in an unexpected place.

I almost didn’t check this little yellow salt dish with my black light. It has a manufacturing flaw but it’s still a surprising treasure. Heading into my booth this weekend.

I was delighted to find this cute McCoy Scottie dog planter today. It’s been awhile since I’ve found any McCoy in the wild.

05/29/2022

I found a yellow glass candlestick in my stash yesterday that just had something about it. Turns out it is yellow uranium glass, which I’d only seen in green up to now. It’s in my case upstairs with my green uranium glass food chopper.

05/27/2022

I just brought this potted palm cross stitch into my downstairs booth yesterday. It would make a striking addition to a gallery wall of fiber art.

05/21/2022

I was able to tuck these vintage belt buckles into my carryon when I was in Oregon at my son’s college graduation. The butterscotch one in the center turned out to be Bakelite. They’ll be in my sewing section upstairs soon.

04/27/2022

Lovely vintage handkerchiefs coming into my upstairs booth this week. They’re perfect for taking a not a purse or pocket for a wedding or even a sad movie.

04/22/2022

I recently added some new vinyl stickers in my upstairs booth. They are reading and book themed and perfect for your favorite water bottle.

03/23/2022

I’m bringing in some new vintage patterns this week. Most are “larger” vintage sizes that are equal to today’s sizes. Ten is the smallest size, several 14s, and sizes going up to 46.

03/02/2022

I added the last of a late 1920s early 1930s photo album to my upstairs booth today. Some of them had writing in the album that I left attached to the photos so you can see part of their stories and perhaps guess the rest.
