This business has meant the world to me in the last four years. Even though things are coming to an end, I’m proud of this little corner and the community we have built in the last few years. And I think that’s worth celebrating.

On that note, we are having a closing party on Feb 16, Sunday! This will be our last chance to pour you a cup of Turkish tea for the time being! Hope you can come celebrate with us the end of this journey.

We’re now approaching the last two weeks in this space — only 11 shopping days left! Last day to shop in person is Feb 16!

Our website is all updated with closing sale prices! That said, we do have a much larger selection of products available in our store (especially rugs and pillow covers). Hope to see you all soon!

It is with truly bittersweet feelings that we decided to close our doors on Sunday, February 16.

Running a small business is fulfilling yet challenging work. At a certain point, I had to take an objective approach and decide whether it was wise to push myself this hard with no real income. While our move to West 7th was definitely the right call for the business, the holiday season has been slower than we anticipated. And I realized it was time to make a change. I am proud of what Petek Trading Co. has accomplished in the past 4 years, and incredibly grateful for our community. Thank you for the love and support you have shown us over the years.

The store will be open regular hours (Wed-Sat: 10-5, Sun: 10-4) for the next five weeks. We will have 30-50% off sales during this period, starting on Wednesday. At the end of this period, we will pivot to online sales until we clear out our inventory.

And in case you are wondering what is next for me personally, I am happy to announce that I will be heading to law school in the Fall! My sincerest hope is that I can continue to be a positive voice for our community in this new chapter as well.
