We are proud today and always to Live United by sharing resources that are helping to lift those in our community. πβ€οΈ
Students and their families looking to secure more financial aid for college are encouraged to register for an informational webinar about the Michigan Achievement Scholarship, which is the newest State of Michigan scholarship program expected to impact the majority of students.
Participants will be able to gather the following information:
β’ Information about the NEW Community College Guarantee
β’ Michigan Achievement Scholarship eligibility requirements
β’ Michigan Achievement Scholarship award amounts
β’ Important action items for students and families
β’ Additional resources and program information
All sessions are free of charge and open to the public. Register for one session only, as space is limited.

We were able to donate around 50 pairs of beautiful, brand new shoes for youth in our community!! π

Last week, we helped to support the Community Health Fair at Birch Run High School!
We werenβt able to attend but we helped support the event and schools by donating school supplies, bodywash, deodorant and more!
Families were able to visit with vendors and learn about many community resources!

Recently, we were contacted by a family whose ramp and porch was structurally damaged when it was hit by a drunk driver.
Huge thank you to the amazing volunteers from Broken Souls Motorcycle Club for helping to make this ramp and porch safe for the homeowner to enter and exit their home again. β€οΈ

This event will have Touch-a-Trucks with police, fire and other emergency vehicles, first responders, inflatables, a free hot dog & chip dinner & Kona Ice! We heard updates from the presidents of the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce, Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce, Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and Midland Business Alliance.
Plus we applauded all the award winners! π Great things are happening in our community and the whole region. π

π Because of these generous individuals and groups, we were able to pack 200 backpacks for youth staying in Saginaw County shelters and to support Saginaw County classrooms directly.
Thank you to Underground Railroad, Inc., Youth Protection Council, Rescue Ministries of Mid-Michigan and The Mustard Seed Shelter for keeping those who are homeless housed and fed!β€οΈ

Last month, we had pantry food both in surplus and some running low in supply. To avoid any waste of these goodies, we offered the food with some added cleaning supplies to the licensed and registered daycares serving Saginaw County families.
We were connected to the daycares through our Great Start Collaborative pals, Julie Bash & Julie Kozan at the Saginaw Intermediate School District! π
