July 15th our Summer Youth Employment Program students had a workshop on communication with Rebecca Suhr. After that they went to Haithco Park to have a rec day with one of our partners CAC.

On July 8th, SYEP went to Archer Claytor Historic Park to help beautify the area.

On July 5th the students went to Holly State Park to enjoy the beach and play on the water obstacle course.

On July 10th the students went to SVSU to attend a workshop on resume building and interview preparation. It was led by LaToya Peoples. Afterwards they went to Bay City State Park.

July 9th at the Lee Street Marina with our Rescue boat, once complete with boat demonstration, head over to the Fire Training Facility located near City Hall for the Firefighter agility test. July 11th at the Fire Training Facility for CPR training followed by vehicle extrication at the same location.

On June 28th, First Ward hosted a panel discussion based on time and money management. We were also presented a check from Spectrum which will contribute to the development of the workforce program. We would like to thank Mayor Moore, Representative O'Neal, Dr. Pugh, Derrick Mathis, and all other Spectrum representatives for their presence at our event.
